Uberspace 7 manual¶
Uberspace is a hosting platform targeted at people who want to look behind the scenes, do things we didn’t anticipate and generally prefer working with a text-based console. Our objective is to not only host the content you’d like to see on the web, but also to introduce you to Linux and basic shell usage.

Changelog¶
Latest Version: 7.17 (2026-01-16)
Since the rollout of 7.17 didn’t go as planned, we are re-releasing it with some additional changes.
As we’re getting ready for Uberspace 8 beta we’re of course still working on Uberspace 7. Version 7.17 is more of a maintenance release for your and our peace of mind, here you go:
Added¶
PHP 8.5
Changed¶
We opdated our mailserver Haraka to 3.1 to (hopefully!) tackle the Thunderbird issues.
We now enforce the mail limit of 60 mails / hour. Enjoy, spammers!
We reboot our servers now automatically under certain conditions. This is nothing new per se, we just did it manually until now.

Note
Sometimes the version shown on your host may be higher than the newest version here. In this case we might have applied additional fixes shortly after a release or did internal changes without user impact. We deem updates like these hotfixes and they are not necessarily included in this changelog.
